Beacon Arts Centre
Bootlace has been commissioned to design the brand identity for the new £10M Arts Centre in Inverclyde. The name comes from the georgian lamp, on the theatre site, which was a guiding light for ships. We were inspired by light in creating this logo. The ellipses mimic the shapes created by theatre lights as they fall on the stage and the bright colours by the gels used. We worked with the Arts Guild board to develop a brand strategy for the Beacon. This informed the design process. The brand structure is a parent endorsed system with a prescribed colour palette making up the sub brands. A brand manual was created to keep a firm control on brand usage.
